Terms
Last updated 19 October 2026
These terms are between you and Kadi Yangu (“Kadi Yangu”, “we”), for the digital business card service at this address.
Recommendations and plan badges
Recommendations require an active paid plan and a verified phone. One member or verified phone can recommend each profile once; self-recommendations, fake endorsements and coordinated manipulation are not allowed. Recommendations express members' opinions and do not certify professional competence. We can hide abuse. Pro badges identify the plan tier only. Buying Pro does not buy recommendations or a higher count.
Retention offers
An eligible paid account may accept 20% off one next renewal after the first 14 days. This is available once per account and verified phone, applies to the plan selected at renewal, cannot be stacked, and expires seven days after the current period ends. A failed payment can retry within that validity period. Later renewals return to the normal stored plan price. Refunding a discounted renewal does not restore the offer. Accepting does not charge immediately or change your automatic-payment or cancellation settings. You can decline and continue cancelling or deleting.
What you're paying for
A digital business card that people can open, save to their contacts and reply to, for as long as your plan is paid. Solo is KES 450 a month or KES 4,500 a year; Pro is KES 950 a month or KES 9,500 a year. The displayed price is the total charged at checkout. The price you sign up at is the price you renew at, unless we tell you about a change at least 30 days before it applies.
No account, no password
Your card is managed through a private manage link we send by SMS and email when you pay. Anyone who has that link can edit your card, read your contacts and see your billing, so keep it to yourself. Cancelling, changing how you pay, changing your phone number, making a new link and deleting your card also need a code sent to your phone. If you think someone else has your link, make a new one from the Security tab — every older link stops working at once.
Renewals
- We text you three days before every renewal, with the date and the amount.
- M-Pesa: on the renewal date you get an M-Pesa prompt. Nothing is taken unless you enter your PIN.
- Card: if you agreed at checkout, we charge the card you paid with on the renewal date. If you didn't, you pay each period from the link we text you.
- If a renewal doesn't go through, we try again after one day and after three days, and your card stays live for seven days. After that it's paused: people who scan it see a page saying it's paused, and your contacts are kept.
- A paused or cancelled card is deleted, with its contacts, 90 days after it went offline. We text you a week before.
Cancelling and refunds
You can cancel any time from your manage page. Your card stays live until the end of the period you've paid for, and nothing more is charged. If you're not happy, ask within 14 days of your first payment and we'll refund it in full. See Refunds.
What you can't do with a card
- Pretend to be someone else, or a business you don't represent.
- Use it for scams, fraud, or to collect people's details under false pretences.
- Put anything on it that is illegal in Kenya.
Anyone can report a card. If a card breaks these rules we can take it down without notice, and we won't refund the remaining time.
The contacts people send you
When someone uses “Send yours” on your card, you receive their details and you are responsible for how you use them. Don't add them to marketing lists they didn't ask to join. We store them for you and never use them ourselves — see Privacy.
Our side
We work to keep cards online and fast, but we can't promise the service will never be interrupted. If we ever close Kadi Yangu, we'll give you at least 60 days' notice, refund unused time, and let you export your contacts. Our liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months, except where Kenyan law doesn't allow that limit.
Changes
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll text you before it applies. These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya.
